Sam, the founder of Nutshell Films, always had a passion for video production. Throughout his 15-year career, he worked for various digital agencies, corporate companies, and the government. However, everything changed when he stumbled upon B Corp certified companies and learned about their values. After interviewing dozens of these companies, Sam pivoted his video production business to focus on more sustainable and conscious companies and charities.
Sam's wife, Esther, shares his passion for sustainable living and using their salaries for the greater good. They believe that Nutshell Films' success is a result of their team's commitment to blessing their clients, which has resulted in repeat clients and word-of-mouth referrals.
Nutshell Films' ultimate goal is to shoot documentaries for good cause companies and stories to raise awareness and fundraise. They also want to mentor filmmakers who share their passion for doing good with their creative gifts. As a company, Nutshell Films pledges to donate 5% of their profits to causes that matter and review the charities every three months. They also offer discounts to non-profit organizations and do pro bono work once every quarter for a charity that may not have the resources to promote their cause.
Esther manages the company's finances, ensuring that the 5% donations go to the right causes and selecting pro bono projects every quarter. Nutshell Films is preparing to become B Corp certified by the end of 2022, and they are committed to living up to the values and principles of the B Corp community.
After 15 years of working for others, Sam and his team are excited to finally launch Nutshell Films. They are committed to using their talents and resources to make a positive impact on the world and are proud to be part of the B Corp community.
