As an award-winning video producer, Samuel Nam has long known about the power of a genuine story to move people to action. It all started at the age of 16: with a camera in hand, Sam began making his own fictional films, little knowing it would be the catalyst for a career in storytelling. In time, a mentor introduced Sam to corporate filmmaking, leading him into a career producing commercials and promotional videos for agencies around the world.

At last count, he’s clocked in more than 200 films over the course of more than 10 years. It was through conversations with his wife, Esther, that Sam began asking himself, why not take this passion for film and the power of storytelling, and use it to drive meaningful change? And with that, Nutshell Films began.

Through Nutshell Films, Sam focuses his talents to support businesses working to improve the world - and donating 5% of profits to causes he and the team believe in. Teaching and mentoring younger filmmakers have always been a passion for Sam, encouraging them to use their creative talents to better the world.
